Cherubim

Above the archangels are the Cherubim, who look after the planets and stars.    These are throne-bearers for the faithful.  They are the keepers of celestial records and hold within them the knowledge of God. They are dispatched to Earth to perform momentous tasks, such as expelling humankind from the Garden of Eden.  Cherubim are also known as “the ones who pray.”  They keep constant vigil over souls in need of strength, faith and renewal.  These types of angels represent purity of heart and innocence.  They invoke a simple, childlike faith and remind us of the beauty in small and tender manifestations of Nature.
