CALLA LILY

Originally, since ancient Greece, the lily was a symbol for motherhood and eroticism. With the advent of Christianity, the lily came to be associated with the Virgin Mary and chastity. It became a symbol of beauty, marriage and fidelity.

Within the funerary traditions, lilies – and especially the white ones – are also often associated with innocence and death.
