The daisy often symbolises childhood and youth, the innocence of a child, Jesus the Infant, the Son, righteousness andpurity of thought.
In that sense, it can be as read as well as a symbol of “purity of the body” (chastity or virginity) or motherhood.
From an etymological perspective, the word “daisy” is Old English for “day’s eye” (beginning of each day – since the flower opens its petals each morning, and closes them at evenings).
It may also interpreted as a symbol of eternal life and salvation
