Riccardo SINEO (1805 – 1876)

Riccardo Sineo (1805–1876) was an Italian politician and patriot who played a significant role in the political life of the Kingdom of Sardinia and later the Kingdom of Italy. A dedicated figure of the democratic Left, he served as Minister of the Interior and later as Minister of Grace, Justice, and Ecclesiastical Affairs during the turbulent revolutionary period of 1848–1849. Throughout his long parliamentary career, Sineo was known for his opposition to Cavour’s policies and his steadfast commitment to liberal and radical ideals until his appointment as a senator in 1873.
