He was a painter, a student of Grande and Casorati. He was characterized by an expressionism interpreted with irony. Famous are his caricatures on the newspaper “Stampa Sera”. He also dedicated himself to sculpture and mosaic, leaving interesting works in various palaces in Turin. He was also an influential art history teacher.
